My Journey

The project began with defining the theme and developing a narrative based on my personal experiences. After establishing the storyline, I created a color palette and visual direction that supported the emotional tone of the film. I then modeled the 3D assets, animated the scenes and transitions, rendered the final sequences, and completed compositing and finishing touches in After Effects.

주제를 선정한 후 개인적인 경험을 바탕으로 스토리라인을 개발했습니다. 이후 스토리에 맞는 컬러 팔레트와 비주얼 방향성을 설정하고 3D 에셋을 모델링했습니다. 애니메이션과 장면 전환을 제작한 뒤 렌더링을 진행했으며, 최종적으로 After Effects에서 컴포지팅 및 후반 작업을 통해 프로젝트를 완성했습니다.

My Journey is a motion graphics piece that visually introduces my personal journey from South Korea to the United States. Using symbolic objects, icons, and color-driven storytelling, the project explores my ambitions, growth, and dreams.

The film begins with a computer monitor displaying the phrase "Girls Be Ambitious" and a boarding pass transforming into an airplane, symbolizing how my ambitions motivated me to pursue new opportunities abroad. Throughout the story, I represent myself as a suitcase traveling through a vibrant tile world, which reflects the diverse cultures and communities I encountered in the United States. Software icons emerge along the journey to represent the skills and knowledge I gained throughout my education and creative experiences.

In the final scene, a small diary hidden inside the suitcase opens to reveal childhood drawings and dreams. As the younger version of myself steps out of the diary and into the world, it symbolizes the moment when those dreams begin to transform into reality, marking the culmination of my journey.

아이콘과 상징적인 오브젝트, 컬러를 활용하여 저의 꿈과 성장 과정을 표현했습니다.

영상은 "Girls Be Ambitious"라는 문구가 적힌 모니터와 보딩패스가 비행기로 변하는 장면으로 시작되며,

저의 꿈과 야망이 미국으로 향하는 원동력이 되었음을 의미합니다.

영상 속에서 저는 스스로를 여행용 캐리어에 비유했으며,

여정 중 등장하는 소프트웨어 아이콘들은 미국에서 배우고 익힌 기술과 경험을 상징합니다.

또한 다양한 색상의 타일로 구성된 세상은 여러 문화와 민족이 공존하는 미국 사회를 의미합니다.

마지막 장면에서는 캐리어 안에 있던 작은 일기가 펼쳐지며 어린 시절의 꿈과 그림들이 등장합니다.

그리고 일기 속의 어린 내가 세상 밖으로 걸어 나오는 장면을 통해,

오랫동안 품어온 꿈이 현실이 되어가는 순간을 표현했습니다.
